Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has this afternoon received equipment for treating Covid-19 patients worth K369 million from the federal government of Germany.
Chiponda said the country needs more resources to carter for the number of people that currently need Covid-19 treatment.
Among the donation, there are 60 Oxygen Ventilators and 5000 Pulse Oxymeters.
Head of German Development Cooperation Dr Sabine Lindermann said her government values the efforts the government of Malawi is making to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
"This is the more reason we had to make this donation and we will continue our cooperation with the country," she said.
