Local ICT specialists are imploring information authorities to press mobile phone operators to abolish the expiration of their data bundles.
Their argument is based on the observation that data bundles in other countries do not expire as is the case in Malawi.
The ICT Association of Malawi (ICTAM) recently presented its submissions to the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority on pricing, competition and consumers’ welfare under the Data Must Fall Campaign.
While insisting that data bundles need not have a time limit for usage, ICTAM President Bram Fudzulani also raises concern over how fast data bundles get depleted in people’s phones
