Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) has announced an ambitious plan to introduce an Endowment Fund.
Addressing the press in Thyolo on Tuesday, Director of Finance and Investment for MUST, Macdonald Hudge, said the endowment is a permanent fund whose proceeds will be used for supporting student scholarship, innovation and research.
He said the thresholds of the fund range from MK5 million to MK20 million.
'Contributing to the MUST Endowment Fund makes a lasting impact by helping future generations of deserving but disadvantaged students access higher education. This will facilitate University students and staff to innovate or carry out applied research that benefits the nation," said Hudge.
Activities marking the launch of the fund will take place on July 10, in the capital Lilongwe.
